£440
A pair of large Chinese blue and white ovoid jars and associated covers, 19th century, each painted with a mythical beast seated on rocks amid flowers, blossoming trees and butterflies, double circle to base, 34.5cm high, damage and repairs
The covers are matched and do not fit the vases properly. One of the vases is badly broken and re-glued with a large chip to the neck. The second jar has a splinter chip to the unglazed rim with associated curving cracks extending to the shoulder, both with typical minor glaze imperfections.
