Footnote:
Rob Denton was a member of the Reading Society of Model Engineers, regularly showing his large scale locomotives across the country to the delight of young and old. Rob had an eye for detail which was reflected in the detailing of his models.
The German V200 class was the inspiration for the Western Region D800 series of Warships. The conception of the class was largely down to the DB Diesel traction chief 1948-54 Curt Lampe. The V200 002 was in service between 1954 to 1978.
