A CYMRIC BROOCH
enamelled in peacock colours, to the Art Nouveau design signed 'Cymric' with Liberty & Co hallmarks L&Co stamped to the reverse. Dimensions 3.2cm x 2cm, weight 54.7gms
The brooch is not stamped 'Silver' so I cannot say it is 'Silver' by law, it is white metal it is stamped with Liberty's L&Co tothe reverse and Cymric. It is not pewter, as you would not be able to vitreous enamel (glass based hot enamel) on pewter.
Condition;- Pin is present and works, light tarnish throughout, there are some small losses to the enamel, to the ends of the uppermost triangles to the sides of the middle balloon shape, and to the base of this where the stem coils, and a few minor scratches.. none of these are really eye visible.
