Rolls Royce 25/30 DXX 744 Thrupp & Maberley Limousine Body number 6447 to design TC 1136 was first registered in London in January 1937 to it's first owner Major G A Meakin, Messers Cridlands of Cardiff are Known to owned the Vehicle, it then went in to the ownership of G K Kent Esq of Smethwick. Some 29 Years ago it is understood the Rolls was taken of the road for an engine overhaul, it remained Garaged and unfinished. on the passing of Mr Kent the Rolls was bequeathed to The Sir Henry Royce Memorial Foundation. DXX 744 was bought to auction at last years RREC meeting at Burghley House in an as found non running condition nearly all the engine overhaul appeared to be done and most of all the original components were present in various boxes. The current owner has returned DXX744 to a running and road worthy condition.

The paintwork has been left as found and has polished up quite nicely leaving it's original patina to be either appreciated as is or for someone else to take on a stage further as desired, the same can be said of the interior this is in an acceptable as used condition, the front compartment is finished in Black leather and the passenger compartment is finished in Beige west Country cloth it is to be noted that the rear seat arm rests are to be recovered in West Country cloth prior to the Sale.

Overall this is a sound & original example of a 25/30 Limousine bodied car with sound sturdy coachwork that requires little attention or that can be used as a sound basis to take refurbishment further if so desired.
