A German gilt metal singing bird automaton, early 20th century, marked 'K.G' for Karl Griesbaum, in the style of Bontems, with black, green, red and white plumage, on a perch with branches of gilt foliage and mushrooms st the base, under a rectangular cage with domed roof and pressed metal base with red baize top, on peg feet, 10½in. (26.5cm.) high, working. Good condition and in working order. Lacks the hanging loop from the top. Paint chip to one corner of base and pen marks above the on/off lever.
