A TWO CLASP AFGHANISTAN MEDAL 1878-80 TO THE ROYAL ARTILLERY. An Afghanistan medal with Charasia and Kabul clasps, named to 230 Cpl L. Kite 67th Foot. Levi Kite was also entitled to a Second China War Medal with Taku Forts 1860 and Pekin 1860 clasps. His record includes 'He has been four times entered into the Regimental Defaulters Book inclusive of twice tried by courts martial and once convicted by the Civil Power'. He clearly improved his conduct as by the end of his service having been up and down the ranks several times he was a provisional Lance Sergeant. Mounted for display with copied research.
