[23], 640pp Engraved frontispiece, title in red and black, 100 of the 102 engraved plates. Condition: areas of grubby marking, pages well thumbed. A number of plates torn to margin and one with a tape repair. A few carelessly turned corners. Occasional ink marking. In later 1/2 calf over marbled boards. New endpapers. contemporary panelled calf, re-backed and re-cornered, rubbed, bumping to extremities, folio, 430mm x 280mm.
