Achille Brocot - a mid to late 19th century French two train mantel clock striking on a steel bell. The silvered dial  with Roman numerals, winding holes at 4 and 8 and central brass disc. The brass case of architectural from with finials to each corner supported on  turned brass columns, and a central finial on a stepped top. The front panel decorated in gilt brass depicting cranes among bamboo, the side panels having humming birds among exotic flowers.
The hinged brass door to the back opening to reveal a brass movement marked AB (with a star between) for Achille Brocot and the registration number 5125.
