The major parts of an interesting 18th century 28 bore Continental flintlock holster pistol, 17½" overall, barrel 11½" with scroll engraved top rib and London proofs, the unusual enclosed lock probably dated from the late 17th century, the walnut full stock having a chequered butt and horn fore end cap, but lacking all mounts apart from the wooden trigger guard. GWO & C, but cannot be fired whilst the lock is in the pistol owing to the lack of trigger, the stock heavily wormed, the lock partly refinished. £200-250
