A VERY FINE 19TH CENTURY MAHOGANY LEATHER TOPPED WRITING DESK, the top with brass gallery railing and tooled leather topped writing slope which lifts to reveal storage within, the leather is in fantastic condition with a great colour to it; beneath the top are four down turned acorn finials and all raised on a pair of wonderfully carved side pod supports with scrolls, fruit and foliage design which sit on flat bun feet united by a shaped stretcher – handy to rest your feet on. 77cm tall including the brass gallery rail, 61cm tall to the bottom of the frieze x 60.5cm wide x 51.5cm deep.
