Three large fans from the 1890’s, the first painted on biscuit-coloured cotton with delicate roses in a strong pink, surrounded by leaves, a large butterfly having landed atop, the verso in cream glazed cotton, the monture of bone, guard approx. 32.5cm; together with a cream gauze example, the monture of lightly incised bone, showing small birds approaching a spray of lilac daisies, guard approx. 35.5cm; and a fan of blk gauze, trimmed with black machine lace, painted with small flowers with autumn colours, and a hint of gold, mounted on wood sticks painted black, guard approx. 35cm (3)
The first fan is in good order, the second fan has some light foxing.
