Walter Crane for Morris and Co. (attributed), a pair of Arts and Crafts mahogany pyrography panels, etched in low relief with Preraphaelite allegorical figures Sphaera Imaginationis and Speculum Naturae, designed 1889, set within acanthus carved frames, the panels 76cm x 37cm, overall 106cm x 67cm Note: designed as stained glass panels for the doors to the picture gallery of Aston Webb's Clare Lawn house, they appear in The Architect, 1889, p.312, also reproduced in the Ian Dungavell's article 'Two Arts and Crafts Interiors by Aston Webb', Journal of the Decorative Arts Society, No.21, 1997, p.108 fig.8. The current location of the original panels is apparently unknown
