'The Exhibition and Other Cornish Stories,' original printed pictorial wraps, slight loss to head and tail of spine, advertisement to verso of front wrap, pp.148, glossary of four pages to rear, advertisements of books in the Cornish dialect, a vg copy of a scarce item not listed in the British Library catalogue, Netherton & Worth, Truro, Madgwick, Houlston & Co, London, [n.d. but the advertisements suggest circa 1860]. A charming work with some historical significance. Divided into three parts 'Cornwall as it Was', 'Cornwall as it is' and 'Outlines of Parochial History', this work covers the Roman occupation, The Tudors, the fauna of Cornwall, social condition and characteristics, mining and fishing, amongst others. With a later copy in orange wraps with with title of 'Tregellas's Cornish Tales', with the printed verso of the previous as front and vice versa, almost identical bibliographic points, vg.
