A TRADITIONAL TURKISH ‘KARS’ FLOOR RUG, with double medallion design to the centre, having main ground blue and set within a red ground, surrounded by triple border of floral & geometric shapes. A long fringe on each end. Kars rugs are traditionally from the Northeast corner of Turkey and the name comes from the Turkish/Bulgarian tribe of Kazak, that lived in the area around 130AD. Dimensions: 178cm x 124cm.
