Winston Churchill (1874-1965) silver pendant on chain, the pendant featuring a V, engraved with Winston Churchill's name and the years 1951-1955 in card Cartier box. Winston Churchill gave instructions for the pendants to be executed by Cartier of London and he sent them to 113 of his staff at 10 Downing Street including cleaners, messengers and carpenters etc two months after his retirement together with a hand written note reading With All Good Wishes signed Winston Churchill in black ink, contained in an envelope marked Personal and addressed to Mrs E Smith (who served as a secretary for thirty plus years), 10 Downing Street, SW1. Also included in this lot is a Keystone Press Agency Ltd black & white photograph of Winston Churchill and three printed Christmas cards featuring pictures of his paintings from Winston & Clementine Churchill
