comprising approximately 125 privately taken sepia tone images, including many deck views including seven of Winston Churchill relaxing or at the helm smoking a cigar, one of him working a capstan, one possibly of Sir Thomas Lipton, assorted shipping around Cowes including naval ships, steam yachts, yachts racing, many social deck scenes including a tent with gramophone, several rare internal views, assorted sizes but mostly 2½ x 4in. pasted to gilt-edged card pages (lacking covers) -- 9 x 11½in. (23 x 29cm.)
Presumed to be Gilbert A. Tonge of Branches Park, Newbury, owner of Oceana 1894-1919, or family member.
