SHEFFIELD SUB-OFFICES - A-B: A binder containing an 1867-1970s display of postmarks, classified by offices, on mounted envs., PPCs, parcel post labels (18), certificates of posting & numerous on piece or stamps, inc. 1894 “Broomhall Street (SGV)” parcel post label franked 9d Jubilee stamp tied with a “SHEFFIELD” rubber adjacent to a fine “BROOMHALL ST.” cds; 1908 3d Registered Letter env. cancelled with a “DEEPCAR” cds opposite an “R/32” registration label struck with a v. fine “BOLSTERSTONE/SHEFFIELD” rubber UDC; 1930 express air mail cover to Italy franked 2d, 2½d, 3d + 6d KGV stamps all tied by “ANGEL STREET/*/7 MY/30/SHEFFIELD” cds’s; 1933 registered env. franked with a strip of three 1½d stamps tied with 2 fine “BIRLEY CARR/WADSLEY BRIDGE/7 JAN 33/SHEFFIELD” rubber cds’s; plus others postmarked Abbey Lane to Burncross.
