WW1 & WW2 family range with:
1. 1914-15 Star trio, WW2 Defence Medal and KGVI Police LSGC to 54328 Gnr A. Brown R.G.A. (Const Arthur W. Brown on Police) about very fine and better. With newspaper photo and article:
Constable A.W Brown of Mappleborough Green, who holds the distinction of being the longest-serving policemen in Warwickshire is to retire at the end of this month. Mr Brown has been stationed at Mappleborough Green for over 17 years, and for 6 years before that served at the Studley Station. Before coming to Studley, he was stationed at Knowle, Olton and Sheldon and was first stationed at Solihull. During his service Mr Brown has been commended for his work, once by a judge and on many occasions by the local magistrates. He served in WW1 in the RGA. He saw service in the Far East where he was wounded. He was invalided home to Britain, but shortly afterwards was drafted to France, where he took part in the battles at Vimy Ridge and at Passchendaele."
2. 1939-1945, Italy Stars, Defence Medal and BWM attributed to 5187291 Cpl J. Allen Infantry extremely fine. With damaged pay book and box of issue (all details removed from box).
3. Safe Driving Medal with 1960 suspension bar and 1961 and 1962 clasps in un-named box of issue? With named certificates to Charles Henry Smith with Leamington Priors Gas Co Rescue, Fire & Ambulance Brigade ARP/First Aid and un-dated West Midlands Gas Board 40 Years certificate and small photo.
4. Range of letters and documents for Norman Walter Smith including National Service Discharge Book (22461198 L/Bdr, 36 HAA Regt RA), 7 RA buttons, Midlands Crime-Cut Campaign Certificate dated 22/3/69, letters of employment etc. (½B)
