A mid 19th Century Military sixth plate daguerreotype of a British infantry officer C1840s/50's, case stamped in gold lettering By Appointment Mr Kilburn 234 Regent Street, the officer is wearing a coatee with 'Prussian' collar and two rows of regimental buttons, campaign medal to left breast, the shoulder belt plate appears to show the 'China Dragon' device awarded for service in the First Opium War of 1839-42
