This rare lithographic print after Edward Lear is from The Genera of Birds by George Robert Gray and lithographed by David W Mitchell.

The illustrations were printed by C Hullmandel and published by Longman, Brown, Green and Longmans, Paternoster Row, London 1844-49.

A beautifully illustrated book, the first work to be illustrated by Joseph Wolf after his move to Great Britain.
