Circa 1864, with 23 inch steel blade fullered on each side, ricasso with crown and 'VR', Enfield 'E / crown / 33' inspection mark over & further inspection marks on blade and hilt back, steel hilt with good, black chequered pressed leather grips, both with inspection marks, cylindrical mortise slot, together with its black leather & steel scabbard. 28 3/4 inches overall.
