A Spode Copeland’s China Imari pattern part tea service, 19th century, comprising: nine tea cups (one at fault), nine saucers, a sugar bowl, a milk jug, twelve side plates, 18cm diameter, and two cake plates, 25cm diameter, printed and painted maker’s marks and pattern number ‘5535’ to bases (34)
Four side plates, four saucers, one cup and the milk jug show fine surface crazing. One cup and four saucers show hairline cracks. Several pieces show various small glazing faults. All pieces show minor surface wear and rubbing to the gilt highlights throughout.
