§ Denis MITCHELL (1912-1993) Trecarn (1990) Bronze, numbered 1/7 (only two were cast out of an intended edition of 7), signed to base (concealed by additional wooden base), height including base 90cm (bronze 81cm) Notes - The plaster for this work was made in 1969/70. This work is inscribed in another hand on the underside of the wooden base. Exhibited - Wills Lane Gallery, St Ives (1990), 48th Aldeburgh Festival (1995), Penwith Galleries, St Ives (1992), Flowers East, London (1993), Glynn Vivian Art Gallery, Swansea (1994), Gardner Arts Centre, Brighton (1993), Penwith Gallery, St Ives (1996) This cast first exhibited in Marazion in 1991, the Penwith in 1991 and then the 80th birthday Penwith show in 1992. It featured in the 1993 Flowers East exhibition and sold at the Penwith Gallery in 1996.
