NAVAL FRANKING EX BOMBAY, ETC.; Fine 1881 env. from the Andaman Islands to Malta with India 2as+1a tied by dumb bars of "PORT BLAIR" (v. fine cds on reverse) , large 1863 piece to GB with spectacular 3-colour franking (8pi+2as+8as) tied by Singapore "B/172" octagons and firm's large oval red cachet, 1876 env. ex British Naval Officer on HMS Undaunted at Bombay with GB 1d Reds (2) + 3d Rose-red (2) tied by London arrival numerals, 1868 stained E from London to Bombay with GB 6d mauve but also with "INSUFFICIENTLY/PREPAID" and v. fine hs. "3d" marks, and 1863 off-cover pair of 8as cancelled by Penang "[1]47" duplex. Scarce group.
