A George III silver nutmeg graterSamuel Meriton II, London 1790, modelled as a barrel with turned decoration, screw top inscribed with initials to both ends 'I.H.S' & 'J.S', opening to reveal pierced rasp, 3.6cm.* Piece of paper inside reads "Silver nutmeg box, gift to my father from uncle John, and from I.H.S to me." Hence the initials.
