£350 - £450
A George III silver teapot, maker's mark partially rubbed (WP or WR?), London 1814, squat pear shaped, profusely chased with flowers and foliage to a stippled ground, a cartouche each side (one engraved with crest, the other vacant), with scrolling wooden handle, the domed hinged cover with eagle finial, the leaf-capped spout with zoomorphic bird lip, raised on four Bacchus mask-capped paw feet. 25cm handle to spout, 28.1 troy ounces gross
Good: In good condition overall, but possibly some or all of the lot has slight wear/damage/fading in line with the age of this lot. Maker's mark very lightly rubbed but legible, the rest clear and well struck. Stands upright, but one foot dented into the body and raised off the ground. Cover hinge slightly loose but attached, small splits either side of the hinge. Surface tarnish, minor dings and light scratches commensurate with age and use.
