A late 19c English eight day domestic regulator by the Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Co. 112 Regent St. London. The 30cm diam. silvered brass dial has Roman numerals, concentric hands and a seconds dial. The substantial movement has dead beat escapement and maintaining power and strikes the hours and halves on a gong. The pendulum has a wooden rod and the weights are brass bound. It is contained in a high quality mahogany case with glazed trunk door and brass line inlays around the dial. The hood has swan necked pediments and a line of dentil moulding above the dial. The clock stands 213cm tall overall.
Complete, restored and in good working order.
