The autographs of over 170 R.A.F pilots as featured in the limited-edition folios ‘So Few’, commissioned by Air Vice-Marshal ‘Freddie’ Hurrell, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, and ‘So Many’ a tribute to Bomber Command pilots; two signed copies of the menu from the Honours Banquet held on 3rd December 1990 as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations to honour the Battle of Britain pilots; one copy signed by 24 pilots, the other signed by 23 pilots. Also included are
4 rolled posters of the Battle of Britain signed by Sir Christopher Foxley Norris, an R.A.F. Pocket Book dated 1937, a signed First Day Cover celebrating Air Chief Marshal Lord Dowding of Bentley Priory GCB GCVO CMG, with six signatures, another cover, stamps, and three commemorative coins. Provenance: AVM 'Freddie' Hurrell, Director of Appeals for the RAF Benevolent Fund from 1988 to 1995, thence by descent. All proceeds are to be donated to The RAF Benevolent Fund by the family.
