Political badge / medal : A Primrose League gilt metal badge suspended from a ribbon with pin attachment. The badge with primrose flower decoration and titled Imperium et Libitas. Approx. 3 1/4" overall
The conservative backed league was created to promote not only the party but national patriotism and the unity of the British empire. The motto of the league is taken from the famous speech given by Benjamin Disraeli, the league was founded in 1883.
