WALLPAPER DUTY MARKS: Four pieces of Georgian period (c.1714-27) wallpaper, each approx. A5 size folded, stripped from the walls of the George Hotel, Stamford. One has a clear impression of Crown & Royal Monogram/J5 handstamp, one with a part strike, and a third piece with a fine strike of "FIRST ACCOUNT TAKEN/[crown]/87". Very scarce survivors.
