A Chinese spinach-green jade box and cover, of rectangular form, the cover incised with a floral design, the base raised on four small feet, incised seal mark highlighted in gilt and applied a John Sparks, 128 Mount Street, W. paper label, 14 cm wide x 9.5 cm deep x 5 cm high
Provenance: Bought by the owners Great Grandmother as a present for her husband from John Sparks on 6th July 1934, with the original John Sparks receipt noting 'One Chinese dark green jade cigarette box with floral design in gold' £8 10s (0d)

the lid - chip/section missing of approx 2 cm long to one side
Overall - a few nibbles/ minor chip to the edges
The top appears to have had gilt decoration when bought, now not visible
