TWO PAIRS OF CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE BALUSTER VASES, LATE QING, 19TH CENTURY, the lot comprised of one pair with flared mouths and a turquoise pallete (26.5 cm high), and a pair with gilded applied dragons and painted with formal garden scenes (26.5 cm high)

Flared mouth vases: One has three rim chips to the mouth. Chipped losses to ears and tails of both applied lions. Chipped loss to one of the chilongs. Rubbed losses to the painted sides. The other with four rim chips to the mouth. Vertical hairline crack visible on the interior of the neck and some firing faults
Other pair of vases: One has a rim chip to the mouth and two notable hairline cracks to the neck. Painted decoration heavily rubbed and worn. The other vase has three rim chips to the mouth, small chipped losses to the chilongs and multiple rim chips to the foot rim. Painted sides similarly heavily rubbed and worn
