Service de la Maison de l'Empereur, a Napoleon III silver plated three piece tea and coffee service, Christofle, Paris circa 1852, pedestal shouldered urn or baluster form with cast acanthus swan neck handles and spouts, beaded borders, each engraved with the Imperial coat of arms of Emperor Napoleon III, stamped marks and numbers 152937, 180012 and 153382, teapot 24.5cm long (3) Note: commissioned by the French Emperor in 1852, the extensive dinner service, made by the court silversmith in silver plate, was used at all his main residences and dispersed at the dissolution of the Second Empire.
