An original WWII Second World War Fairbairn Sykes issued 1st Pattern commando fighting dagger with scabbard. Ricasso with Wilkinson Sword London maker's mark to one side and 'The F-S Fighting Knife' to the reverse, shaped 'wavy' guard and knurled grip. Serial number 30946 to grip, and marked '16' to the other side. Housed within its original full leather scabbard with steel end tip. Blade with some surface rust but no dents. Total length: 29cm long. 

Provenance: From the collection of one 1609059 L. A. C. Skipton of 5001 Squadron (Airfield Construction), Royal Air Force.
