** DARTMOOR (DEVON) - P.O.W. COVER WITH THE RARE H.S. "Exd JM" (JOHN MOORE) CENSOR MARK; Fine 15 Aug. 1813 EL (sealed as normal) from POW "J. Renevey" to his father in Arcenant mainly about money received, hoping for peace and his release and sending greetings to numerous friends; he refers to his Regiment having recently moved from Spain to Germany. It has a very fine rare Handstruck Dartmoor Prison Censor's "Exd JM" (John Moore) on the lower flap and was charged "11" (postage from Morlaix) on delivery. Exhibition Quality.
