A rare radiator mascot, for Beck Automobiles, Vertige de la Vitesse, also known as The Storm depicting a terrified girl, bent forwards towards the wind, with her dress flowing behind her, and attempting to balance against the gusts, originally commissioned for Hermes in 1921 and marketed in the UK by Finnigans, London, sculpted by G Poitvin, in silvered bronze, with the Contenot-Lelievre foundry stamp to the side of the base, also signed, on a modern base, 21 cm high Provenance: The property of a West Country Collector
