PRESTAMP MARKS ON PIECES (c.650!) + A FEW COVERS ('DOCKWRA', SHIP LETTER, RARE Py POST, ETC.); 1775-1842 covers (8) inc. mainly fine 1775 "W/TH" 'Dockwra', 18265/7 pair with contents ref. Bull-baiting or Cock-fighting, 1780 EL (amusing contents) ex Geneva with London hs "In All", Mar. 1839 EL with very fine (just across join) rare "Wimborne/Penny Post" (very few examples known; DT733, 1838-39 only), and 1842 E (corner fault; ex St. Vincent?) with fine "BRISTOL/SHIP LETTER" (crease). Plus an 1821 newspaper with 4d red Tax Stamp, and an extraordinary collection of cut-outs from genuine covers (on stock pages) with 300+ English mileage marks (mainly lined/boxed but inc. cds) and c.300 other cds, etc. up to c.1850 (all mostly fine to v., fine strikes).
