22nd (Cheshire) Regiment of Foot silver struck Order of Merit 1820, obverse: King George III accepting a medal from Colonel Crosbie at Windsor Castle, legend "Established Under Royal Sanction" with date 1785 in exergue. Reverse: legend "Order of Merit 22nd Regiment" around, "re-established by Col Sir H Gough 1st January 1820" to centre above oak leaf spray; a hinged bar suspender. Diameter 36mm, not named, NEF (2 v minor edge knocks). These medals were given for 14 years good conduct. A nice item. £100-120
