WHITE STAR LINE: Original Bell Album silver nitrate image showing White Star items on a linen tablecloth, believed to be in the officers' mess of the Medic on the Australian run. A menu is propped against a cruet set with the barometer set to 'fair.' The company burgee is visibly cut into the glassware near the pineapple centrepiece. Catalogue illustration brightened to show astounding detail of this seaborne still life (item is darker). There are few photographs in existence of the luxury White Star's dining experience. Taken by Philip Agathos Bell (1880-1934) and sold with exclusive copyright.
