French M1831 "Gladius Pattern" infantry sword, ricasso marked "Talabot est 1832" and "Paris". Blade 19", rack number "1297" to cross guard. Blade with light surface rust & a few nicks. Ribbed brass hilt, in its brass mounted leather scabbard (3x2cm hole to scabbard leather noted)
