17th century Dutch violin probably by and labelled Hendrik Jacobs me fecit in Amsterdam 1685, the one piece back of faint irregular medium curl with faint regular medium curl to the sides and head, the table of a fine width grain widening to the flanks and the varnish of a reddish-brown colour on a golden ground, 14", 35.60cm (at fault)
