1914-15 Star trio to 178139 W.F. Wilson A.B. R.N. good very fine. William Francis Wilson was killed in action serving on Torpedo Boat 11 when she struck a mine laid by UC 10 on 7th March 1916 and is buried in Manchester (Gorton) Cemetery. With photo of his grave and copied service record, he was born in Manchester 19/7/78, enlisted as a Boy 15/1/94, discharged to RFR 19/7/08. (R)
