A fine inlaid and crossbanded mahogany Library Bookcase, by Hicks, Dublin, of breakfront outline with dentil inlaid cornice above four astragal glazed doors on a conforming base with four satinwood banded doors each with an inlaid roundel raised on ogee bracket feet, 249cms x 256cms (98" x 101"). (1)

Provenance:  Commissioned by Alderman Thomas Kelly, Politician (1868-1942) Lord Mayor of Dublin (1920-1921) formally Sinn Fein (Pro-Treaty) subsequently Fianna Fail.
