A small Chinese junyao tripod censer, probably Song dynasty (960-1279), of cauldron form with slightly elongated neck and everted rim, on three bladed tripod feet, decorated with a thick, brownish-green glaze streaked with black, suffused with blue to the shoulder, 2¾in. (7cm.) high. Some glaze crazing. Tiny (very old) chip to tip of one foot. Burst glaze blister inside the neck. No other faults.
