CHINESE GILT BRONZE MODEL OF SEATED BUDAI - MING DYNASTY. A 17thc bronze and gilded figure of a seated Budai, with some red colouration in places. Also with a shaped hardwood wooden stand. Budai 14cms high *Provenance, formally owned by Lieutenant Commander Henry Radcliffe James, who lived at Edgeworth Manor near Stroud, and has passed through the family.

Some wear to the gilding and bronze in places over time, in particular the head and front of the figure, small hole just below the sleeve.
Stand, some sections of the rim are missing.
