Asprey and Son, a revivalist bronzed copper and gilt cigar casket, circa 1870, cuboid form, cast with Classical Triumphal friezes of a procession with figures, horses and chariot, the lid with central bust plaque, within foliate scroll and fan motif border, egg and dart, pellet and bead and zigzag bands, on four feet, the interior lined in cedar, incised marks for Asprey and Son, 166 Bond Street, 21.5cm wide, 11cm high, 19.5cm deep Note: with accompanying letter from Asprey and Co., dated 1970
