World War One/Autographs: Extremely rare autograph book compiled by the receptionist at the Hotel Majestic in Paris during the WW1 Peace Talks, 1919. It contains over 70 autograph signatures of visitors to the hotel during this momentous period, a number of whom participated in the peace talks including several Prime Minsters and later Treaty of Versailles. Lawrence (Colonel Lawrence of Arabia), Edward, Prince of Wales (later Edward VIII) Field Marshal Douglas Haig, Commander of the British Expeditionary Force, Austen Chamberlain Chancellor of the Exchequer and Neville Chamberlain's brother, General Edmund H.H. Allenby, Louis Botha (General and British Delegate to Poland), Walter H. Lang, (First Lord of the Admiralty) Augustus E. John whose portraits of the peace conference captivated the public, Prime Minister David Lloyd George, Robert Cecil, William Orpen, Brigadier- General A.
