An Art Deco silver shagreen cigarette case, George Betjemann & Sons Ltd, London 1925, of rectangular form with gilt interior, 9cm x 6.5cm, weight 3.20ozt
Interior measures 8.4cm x 5.8cm. A standard credit card will not fit in the interior.
Shagreen is in good order, moderate scratching and wear throughout commensurate with age and use, but no loss. Some denting, moderate scratching and wear to the sides. The case opens smoothly with button mechanism in working order, and closes with a snap, though does leave a slightly gap to the edge. Gilt shows heavy scratching and wear, but the gilt is largely in tact. The elastic is heavily pulled and worn.
