Studio Pottery - A scarce early 20th century example of Gudmundur Einarsson (1895 Middal - 1963 Reykjavík) pioneer of Icelandic ceramics (Guðmundur frá Miðdal) modelled as a young girl holding her puppy in drip glazed green and brown tones, marked with three peaks monogram ' G.E 1947 'ISLAND ' possibly in relation to Funi Island curation, Iceland 1947. Exhibitor at The Tate, London. 29cm high, excellent condition.
