The linear pierced iron plate to grind and crush the dried tobacco leaves set within and raised above a sycamore ‘paddle’, with aperture at one end opening into a projecting small, rounded, shallow recess to empty the chamber, the rear with geometric incised and punched-decoration, length 32cm, width 10.5cm
